Remarks by the President at Republican National Committee Gala
For Immediate Release
Office of the Press Secretary
May 17, 2005

"But I believe the side of reform is going to prevail, because the American people now are beginning to realize we have a serious problem when it comes to Social Security. And that problem begins with people like me."

Yeah, yeah, I know. It's out of context, and he didn't mean it that way. And it's not as funny as the masturbating a horse jokes Laura Bush told at that press dinner a few days back. But, given the Prez's "subliminable" slips of the tongue, it is worth a chuckle.

At the May 31 press event at the White House, Mr. Bush criticized an Amnesty International report on the prison we operate in Cuba, saying AI's sources included people, "trained, in some instances, to disassemble - that means to not tell the truth." :)
