Time for . .

INTERNATIONAL WHACK-A-MOLE . . !

Your contestant, Barack Obama, a man who does not believe that there are Terrorists, must get ALL the moles (Terrorists) that pop up before the 2010 Election. Let's see, there is Afghanistan, Iraq, Yemen, Iran, Gaza, Somalia, Lebanon, Pakistan, the Phillipines, Morocco, Kazakstan, Sudan and more than a few hidden surprises . .

Good luck, Barry, you're gonna need it . . and hopefully you'll do better and act quicker than you have in Afghanistan or over the Skivvy Bomber . . You have less than a year!

Large, you forgot the US and all the new emotionally challenged "Patriots" as a source of terrorism. . I expect more "terror" from this angry group of yahoos.

By the way .... Obamas approach of verifying information before you act would have benefited George Bush immensely ( and saved us a whole lot of money) Obama is , by far and away, handling this better than the neoconservatives directed administration of George Bush . Bush would have put Yemen on the back burner , like he did Afghanistan for 7 years. Obama is making it a priority and following a sound policy. Verify and act accordingly.

http://87billion.com/

On September 7th, 2003, President Bush announced on national television that he was going to ask the Congress to grant him an additional $87 billion dollars for the fiscal year, beginning October 1, 2004, to continue the fight on terror in Iraq and Afghanistan. Since before then, to the end of September, 2007, the United States has dedicated approximately $315 billion dollars to the cause.

.... and you complain about a President who is taking it to the perpetrators. Within a few days. Whack a mole is no challenge to the coordinated and astute.

Oferchrissake!

First, if the citizens ever go into the streets, consider yourself as part of a light pole someplace . .

Secondly, I don't give a sh*t what Bush did . . never said he was right either, but you have to get over Bush and face the immediate problem . . Yer boy has a game of international "Whack-A-Mole getting ready to take place . . and I don't think there's a Democrat in the house that can handle it . . I'm not sure there's any qualified Republicans around either!

"Whack a mole" is the Republican talking point of the day. A cute visual but nothing to do with cooperating with the rest of the world on fighting terror.
Obama is on the beach in Hawaii and the Yemeni government is attacking Al Qaeda. I`ll say he`s got as good a handle on it as could be expected.

Your lack of knowledge makes your argument nonsense . . You seem to only know what the Daily Kos whines about . .

The Administration is slowly reacting to AQ incidents that directly threaten the country, and the AQ is moving numbers to most or all of the countries named, as well as having cells in most of the EU . .

About three weeks ago the administration, when speaking of moving 30k troops into Afghanistan, estimated that there were no more than probably 100 AQ in Afghanistan at any given time and probably fewer than 100 in pakistan . . it was the "Taliban" we had to deal with . .

Now, this morning, the Administration has stated that there are at least 200 AQ in Yemen . . Uhh, is that gonna require another 100,000 troops?

The reason I ask is this . . The Administration waffled about additional troops to Afghanistan because of a "Corrupt" Government and finally settled on 30,000 additional, placing roughly 98,000 troops to find and kill 100 AQ and to pacify an unknown number of Pastun Tribesmen . .

We also know that air strikes, no matter the ordinance used, does no more than terrorize the civilians and once in a while kill some towelhead who is almost immediately replaced with another, usually just as ruthless as the last . . To secure the area still requires boots on the ground, those being either an occupying force or a competent government in that country . . Which Yemen is far from being . . It is both Corrupt and insecure . . why else would the Head Chickensh*t close our emmbassy there?

And shortly, your Messiah will have to also deal with Somalia, Algeria, and Sudan . . "Whack-A-Mole" is more than a game . . it's beginning to be the AQ's method of worldwide terror . . You'll also note the EU's desire to become involved . . absolutely nothing . . They really love your Boy . .

One other thing . . I don't recall reading (or hearing) any Republican or even talking Head using the term (International "Whack-A-Mole") . . I tend to to believe back when I used it initially (in another forum, over a month ago) no one else had used it to describe the developing situation . .

I was referring to the AQ and it's apparent new tactic of appearing in one country after another with numbers estimated to be either equal to or more than those attributed to Afghanistan . .

not policy . .

We are not committing any troops to Yemen. We are committing to other resources to help them , help us.

Google "whack a mole" and you will see this is nothing more than the buzz word de jour among the uptight right.

The bold statement you made, is not fact . . but YOUR opinion. NBC News reported about 15 minutes ago that there would be "more" American Troops in Yemen . . "More" indicating, I assume, that there are currently "Some' American troops there . .

Nothing more than a slang description Huh?

Keep an eye on how this goes down and how it will spread . . for sure into Somalia (Because there's about 200,000 Somali refugees in Yemen . . ) and possibly into Saudi Arabia . .

It's called a "New" Strategy, dipstick . . make the US (because O'Bummer's European friends won't play) spread itself too thin, and then fail on all the fronts it takes up . .

The Democratic Talking Point of the moment is "Obama is on the beach in Hawaii and the Yemeni government is attacking Al Qaeda".

The facts are, according to ABC, we are increasing our number of soldiers in Yemen and they are there to provide "...intelligence and firepower..." as well as to "...help the local army and security forces with counterterrorism training...".

Some US Senators have indicated their beliefs that Yemen could be the next Afghanistan. Senator Joseph Lieberman, chairman of the Homeland Security Committee, on "Fox News Sunday", indicated the United States had a "growing presence" in Yemen, Special Operations, Green Berets and intelligence. Lieberman quoted a US government official that "Iraq was yesterday’s war. Afghanistan is today’s war. If we don’t act preemptively, Yemen will be tomorrow’s war."

Senator Arlen Specter on that same program announced attacks against targets in Yemen are "something we should consider."

Unfortunately it's not that simple. Alarmed response from Yemeni leadership:

SANA’A, Dec. 30 — A Member of the Yemeni parliament Shawqi Al-Qadhi warned the U.S. on Tuesday against sending its troops to Yemen to fight Al-Qaeda, describing such action as "a disaster by all means."
The warning comes while some senators argue that "Yemen will be tomorrow’s war" for the US.
"If the U.S insists on sending its troops to Yemen, the whole Yemeni people will turn to the Al-Qaeda," said Al-Qadhi, who represents the opposition party, the JMP.

http://www.yementimes.com/defaultdet.aspx?SUB_ID=33296

A two edged sword faces the Administration in that US interests are under violent attack as a direct result of Al-Qaeda operatives actions in Yemen but significant US action against them potentially making the Yemeni public outright hostile by public alarm over alleged civilian casualties and Al-Qaeda propaganda that:

"...The war in Yemen is between Al-Qaeda and the US and not between Al-Qaeda and the Yemeni army," said a man, who was unmasked with a bodyguard, standing among tribesmen who were protesting against the air strike...

http://www.yementimes.com/defaultdet.aspx?SUB_ID=33296

As usual Al-Qaeda uses wives, children and unsuspecting civilians as human shields and propaganda tools by crying crocodile tears claiming them as civilian casualties of the air strike while the beleaguered Yemeni government valiantly tries to keep on the good side of the Yemeni public:

...The parliament had demanded an explanation from the government following the news of civilians deaths during the military operations against Al-Qaeda last week.
"We regret the casualties incurred during these operations, however responsibility lies with the terrorists who brought their families to a training camp which is a military objective" said the Yemeni defense ministry in its report to the parliament, last week...

http://www.yementimes.com/defaultdet.aspx?SUB_ID=33296

The Yemeni public already feels the US an unwelcome presence in Yemen according to Shawqi Al-Qadhi:

"...Yemen is characterized with its army nation that already has a sense of frustration towards the presence of the US and its failure in Iraq and Pakistan," Al-Qadhi said, adding that if the US troops arrived in Yemen, they will do great favor for Al-Qaeda, which will use this to carry out more violent actions under the pretext of kicking out the "troops of the foreigners..."

http://www.yementimes.com/defaultdet.aspx?SUB_ID=33296

We are already there, our numbers are growing and Al-Qaeda is engaged in triangulation to create a poor relationship worse between the US, the Yemeni government and the Yemeni public.

And here's the current score . .

AfriCom is Hq'd in Ethiopia. Based upon best indicators, they have put SOF's in Sudan, Kenya, Somalia, and All of Yemen, probably a couple of teams in Morrocco, Algeria and maybe Libya . . Not counting, of course, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan . .

We're shrinking force in Iraq, but AQ is still very active, killing large numbers of Iraqi citizens weekly . . We are enlarging the occupancy of Afghanistan, while engaging people we once had in captivity in Cuba in a country that is far more corrupt than even Chicago politics, and shortly will be forced to counter more violence and numbers of AQ in both Somalia and Eastern Sudan . . and perhaps even in Northern Ethiopia . .

If it ain't "International Whack-A-Mole", it pretty ****ed close . . .
