...on the weather page
I'd like to see world temperatures. I wish the River Readings could be sent to the sports page. (I suppose the River Readings have something to do with fishing, and nothing to do with weather!) I'd like to see what Dublin is expecting everyday. (My dream trip is to go to Ireland )

...the full TV listings for the day (like the "Big Newspapers" do). :D

...the funnies could be found on (approximately) the same page every day. :

...letters to the Editor would be seen every day (instead of twice a week). Again, like the big newspapers do.

I do enjoy many features the Chieftain brings us. Just a few changes I can think of to make our hometown paper even better.

Good idea with this topic.

1)I would love to see more content concerning world events.

2) More focus on Pee Wee Sports. The little kids will be in high school soon . Who knows what it may do for a child to have his/her name in the paper for doing something special in sports. This could detour a child who is on the fence from going down the wrong path. This type of exposer should focus on all sports and talents.

I'd like to see more good news, and I'd like to see it involve our area youth.

Next time our area teenagers are out helping the elderly or disabled, I'd like to read about it.

Next time our area youth stop and render aid at the scene of an accident, I'd like to read about it.

The next time some of our area youth raise money to send to those who are victims of disasters, I want to read about it.

Cleaning up graffiti, learning to drive, participating in mock congress, etc -- I want to see our area youth cast in a better light than they are now.

Today's youth are our future. We need to give them some positive reinfocements here, and putting them in the paper is a good way to do it. :D

(My dream trip is to go to Ireland )

Chances are, you won't want to come back! I hope you go, and totally enjoy yourself while there.

Write Henson a letter . . I don't think he reads this . .

Yeah, finding the Comics is almost a game . .

And the sports pages . . actually they defy description . . They have the continuity of an Alzhiemer's Patient . . they may cover an event that is occurring over several days on Thursday, Friday, Saturday . . And then completely blow it off on the final day . . no results, nothing . . . Like, What happened? Did it get called on account of Mudslide . . Riot . . Overthrow of the Guv'mint . . or What?

Auto Racing, the second largest Spectator Sport in the world, NASCAR, NHRA . . . Most of the time you'd never know it existed . . But, THE PAPER CUP . . Well now, the coverage of that over-hyped event can't be enough, we even see the quotes of the "Ball Boys" on that one . .

And all you Tennis buffs, don't get out the tar and feathers just yet, I'm just giving an example of what I consider "Over Coverage"!

Ahhhh, Yes, the Letters to the Editors . . . there could be more, but the people who vet the letters have been awful choosy about what gets published and what doesn't . . they'll publish some treatise about a biblical mis-quote and use up two columns . . But they won't publish a letter about Immigration unless it's current Administration Party Line for all the tea in China . . dunno what they're afraid of. Then of course, they want 'em short . . Just like a TV "Soundbite" . . so why bother?

I agree about the skimpy sports page. Especially on Monday. Sunday is the biggest sports day of the week. during football season it's even bigger. It defies logic that the following day has the smallest sports section in the country.

I'd like to see a Monday Business section and more news on local businesses.
